Ways to teach, never let the class boring.
He can answer all questions whatever
Students ask. He is a teacher, but we
Like treating him as a friend. To tell
The truth, he should lose weight as soon as
Possible.

13th Plotive

“Hey, this is our last party in here in this year. We will in America after three days. Let’s take a photo for it.” I said to Rita.

“Sure. I will miss here so much. Here is full of memory.” Rita said.

What we talked about is a mall near out home in china. It is the most amazing mall I have ever seen. Since we were at 13 years old, we went to have fun over there. Whether we go to any place in this mall, we always can find lots of memories. I still remember the story happened in this mall 4 years ago, as if it happened yesterday.

  That was the year that we graduated from the middle school. There were 5 people in my group who are my best friends at that time. We thought that at least two of us could get into the same high school. But the purprisily thing was we went to 5 different high schools. We were so sad at that time and decided to have a goodbye dinner the mall where were we always staying at the weekend. We did not talk during the dinner because we afraid that if we said something sad, we would cry together. We wanted to say goodbye with smile. We could smell the smell from the dishes but we all did not want to eat. Finally we talked a lots about the future and gave the best wish to each other. We said that after 3 years, when we graduated form the high school, we would get together again. But now I am in America and we did not contect with each other for a long time. I hope we really can see each other again.

Journal #3

   I think students should wear the uniform in the school. Even most of students don't like to wear the uniform. But there is no denying that uniform really gives us a more convenience life.
   First of all, wearing uniform is good for the poor kids in the school. Teenagers are easy to have fashion pursuing and comparisons. So I think if some students wearing some expensive clothes at school. That must will bring some bad effect to the kids who cannot afford those things. So the good thing about the uniform is it can make all the students look same. Then there will not have some poor students think they are different from the students who are rich than them.
   And also, uniform is a logo for the student. It can remind the kids what is the thing they should do and what is the things they cannot do. Uniform is also symbolizes how important of a group to the student. It can raise student's collective sense of honor and the cooperation realizes. And it is kind of easy for the school to maintain school and student's security. If there have some stranger go into the school, it will be easy to find out, too.

Journal #2

  Strictly speaking, Declan Galbraith was the first singer who is singing the English song that I liked. The reason I liked him was I heard the song” Tell me why”. That was the song brought me out of my happy life and began to know the painful in this world.
  At the beginning of the song, it described a beautiful dream with a lovely couple and a wonderful view. In this part, I can see the hopeful of the life. “In my dream, children sing a song of love for every boy and girl. The sky is blue and fields are green: And laughter is the language of the world.” When I heard the last sentence, I really thought that the song would talk about the wonderful life as I had.
  Then I found that I was wrong. The rest part of the song broke my heart. “Then I wake and all I see is a world full of people in need. Tell me why! Does it have to be like this? Tell me why! Is there something I have missed? Tell me why! Cause I don't understand. When so many need somebody. We don't give a helping hand. Tell me why? Everyday I ask myself. What will I have to do to be a man? Do I have to stand and fight to prove to everybody who I am? Is that what my life is for to waste in a world full of war?” That was the first time I knew there still have lots of kids died because of the bad environment and they have no food to eat. And also the ecological environment is destroyed because human’s greed. I confused about why people cannot share what we have and keep peaceful in the world. This song made me thought about this world again. I knew I could not keep staying in my little world and pretend there have nothing happen in the world. I have to go out and do something for the place we are living and for our own life.

Journal #1

Sunday was a beautiful day. My friend and I all tired of staying in the dorm and we wanted to go to a quiet place with lots of sunshine and fresh air. So we decided to go to the winter park. And also we heard that there have a famous café called French Bakery. Desserts in there are always making people moved.

It was so hard to find the French Bakery. But when I opened the door and smelt the wonderful smell of fresh bread and delicate cakes baking, the tiredness from the long walking lifted. All different kinds of cake with different tastes were showed in front of me and I knew I already crazed for them. I confused that how many I should choose because each one of them would make my lost weight plan failed.

"Which one do you think I should choose?" I asked my friend.

"Choose all of you want. Maybe there will not have the nice day with this kind of good weather and the good mood you are having now when you come next time." He said.

So I chose all the cakes I wanted. I sat next to the window and enjoyed the first afternoon tea after I came to America. At that time, I knew the one of the important things in my life was I need to forget the pressure from the school works and application and give myself a rest.

 

Alien Story

  "Quickly! We don't have time!" I yelled to my Brother. At the same time, I decided put lots of bottles of water in the suicase.
  "Can I bring my toys?" He asked me with a wronged face.
  "No, honey." I told him, "You cannot bring anything."
  The sky became dark. I knew If we could not run to the ship, we would be die. My brother and I ran out from the house and tried to find the right way to go to the ship. Suddenly we heard a blare. The buliding near to us was destroyed.
  "Oh my goodness!" My brother began crying, "That was so horrible!"
  "Don't look at that. Fllow me, we have to run faster." I said.
  Now a cloud of smoke floated over. We cannot see anything.

Earth Without People

  This article called Earth Without People is mainly talking about what would happen on the earth without people and what the earth would look like after that. Alan Weisman predicted the human disappeared as a breakthrough point to examine our earth. Through observe the world without people; we can see how the world will develop in the future in a unique perspective.

  Firstly, he gave an example about North Korea. There has a 155-mile-long, 2.5-mile-wide mountainous Demilitarized Zone and no one could pass that area since 1953. He said "Today those paddies have become barely discernible, transformed into pockets of marsh, and the new occupants of these lands arrive as dazzling white squadrons of red-crowned cranes that glide over the bulrushes in perfect formation, touching down so lightly that they detonate no land mines." The author described a marsh with red-crowned cranes and white bulrushes. We can see a large and desolate area with no people. But according to the last sentence, it also showed us how dangerous of this area

  Secondly, he talked about the groundwater that were may rise up and flood the street. He mentioned that "That would exacerbate a problem that already plagues New York—rising groundwater. There's little soil to absorb it or vegetation to transpire it and buildings block the sunlight that could evaporate it. With the power off, pumps that keep subways from flooding would be stilled. As water sluiced away soil beneath pavement, streets would crater." According to his described, we can see the groundwater flood the subway station because the pump would not work. After the water flood the street, it may become back the stream or river.

  Last example is after a few hundred years, many creatures would flourish. He described that "America would have three times as many species of animals over 1,000 pounds as Africa does today," he says. An amazing megafaunal menagerie roamed the region: Giant Armadillos resembling armor-plated autos; bears twice the size of grizzlies; the hoofed, herbivorous toxodon, big as a rhinoceros; and saber-toothed tigers. A dozen species of horses were here, as well as the camel-like litoptern, giant beavers, giant peccaries, woolly rhinos, mammoths, and mastodons." He gave us lots of examples about what kind of new animal would appear and named their species. It makes us feel like we can really see those animals. 

 

  I chose three examples of the vision. It is the most direct way to feel the changes of the Earth with no people. It could leave a deep impression that what he wrote to us and we also could feel what his feeling was when he wrote this article. 

 

College Essay

“This is my choice to come to America; I will never give up even though I am crawling on my knees to the end.” After I got off the plane in America, I strengthened my conviction. However I was not such a strong and insistent person like that. How did I become such a strong person? I learned a lot from the experience of playing guzheng, which is a traditional Chinese instrument. These experiences taught me that I ought to be responsible for my own choice and strict to it even when I encounter a roadblock. I am always looking forward to be a better woman.

 When I was 8 years old, I didn’t think I was a strong young girl. However, the first time I saw and played guzheng, I thought, “Yes, I love it. I will do my best” This was the first decision I made but I didn’t know how much it will change me and my life. In the six years after that, I went to my music teacher’s home every day to practice. Even in the hard winter, I was never absent. The strings became old and easily broken because I love to play it. Therefore I was always hurt by the strings and bled a lot. I still kept practicing everyday even though sometimes it hurt me a lot. I wanted to get better. I knew that improving my skill can show how much I put a high value on my decision and how much I love it. There shouldn’t be a “give up” attitude in my musical world.

  I am not satisfied with the low level so I spent a few months to pass the guzheng grade examination. After working hard, I tried to get many high rating certificates and more and more awards. Finally I got the eighth level certificate (the highest level is tenth). Also, I took part in lots of competitions. At the end I not only got a good ranking, but also got a chance to have my own small concert. I understand that motivation and initiative can help my success. “Always try to do better” is one of the important things I learned from this experience.

  This is the most important experience in my life. It taught me how to be a self-motivated person who will not give up trying hard and achieving the ability to do the things I love.
